ABOUT US
HHUK are part of a growing Europe-wide community who study Hawaiian dance and cultural arts with guidance from Kumu Hula Rich Pedrina and Hālau Hula ʻO Nāpunaheleonāpua. Alongside our global ʻohana, we aim to share not only this learning through online and in person classes, workshops and performance, but also our deep aloha for Hawaiʻi, hula and those who make – and have made – it possible for us to take this journey
With mahalo & aloha for the unceasing hard work, support and aloha from our Kumu, alakaʻi and global hula ʻohana, the team representing Hālau Hula ʻO Nāpunaheleonāpua at Hula ʻOni E Europe 2023 in Vienna were honoured to receive 1st place in wahine group ʻauana and wahine group kahiko, the ʻōlelo award and 1st overall; Tamsin (HHUK) holds the title of Miss Hula ʻOni E Europe 2023

HULA ʻONI E EUROPE 2026 – JUNE 4 TO 7, 2026 – VIENNA, AUSTRIA
So close now! Tickets are still on sale for two days of competition with over 250 dancers from all over Europe in hula ʻauana, hula kahiko and – for the first time ever – oli (chant). There is also a fabulous hōʻike lineup for the Friday, and two full days of workshops in all sorts of cultural arts with esteemed kumu and judges from Hawaiʻi. Not only that, Saturday night sees the big gala dinner show. Last but not least, this year for the first time the competition will be livestreamed on YouTube!
